The ColourPop Sweet Talk palette is the prettiest eye-shadow palettes that I’ve seen so far this year.
Somewhere at the beginning of March, i have got an email from ColourPop letting me know that they have sent some goodies for me to try out.
As usual, the email described that’s is inside, and that’s was how I laid my eyes on the ColourPop Sweet Talk collection and the palette itself. At first glance, I wasn’t entirely sold, but the more I looked at it, the more appealing the Sweet Talk Palette Looked. And God knows I had time enough to admire it online since it took a month for the palette to reach me.
Kid you not the palette stayed 2 weeks at the customs and it took a week for the Dutch post to deliver it, one week for 130km… they must be delivering by bicycle. That after I had to explain and send a proof with the reason for the gift
The joy of being a European beauty blogger….don’t get me started about that…
After this grey, cold Dutch winter I was really in the mood for some soft and sweet floral shades and the Sweet Talk Palette did not disappoint. Although I heard people saying that the Sweet Talk Palette isn’t anything special and in a way, I can see where they are coming from; is a coral-pink and neutrals palette with a couple of glittery shades. Meh, not so special if you just look at the color story
Now that I have it in my hands and I have been playing with it for a bit I don’t agree with that thinking. Ok, the color story it’s not necessarily unique, i give you that! A lot of us own some similar shades in our collection, but Sweet Talk Palette color story makes sense, the whole thing is so cohesive that I just love it! It is neutral but with an edge and the glitter shades are elegant, and even though I maybe have those colors somewhere in another palette I can’t stop reaching for this one.

Where to buy
As ColourPop taught us the formula of the pressed powder metallic & matte shades in the Sweet Talk Palette is top notch. Every time I have a ColourPop palette I’m surprised by the quality of the shadows and how smooth the formula is.
All the shades in the palette are pigmented and the blend like an absolute dream. Not going to lie there is a bit of fallout, but nothing dramatic, even an inexperienced person like me can handle that with ease.
ICYMI, Dream Maker and Feel Free are the ones that have the fallout. Prima Drama and Early Mornin’are chunky glitter and its best to use them with glitter glue, but nevertheless, they are gorgeous
Side2Side is feels very different, is buttery and almost wet yet is glitter, I use it mostly as an eyeshadow topper, and I apply it with my finger, and it gives the most gorgeous ethereal sparkle enhancing even the tamest look.
How long does it stay put
I have tried them with a primer ( MAC paint pot ) and without and personally I like it more when I use a primer, the colors remain vibrant for a longer time.
Did you pick up anything from the ColourPop Sweet Talk collection ?
