Swiss Clinic Skin Renewal Kit Review

Swiss Clinic Skin Renewal Kit Review

I was lucky enough to be chosen to test the  Skin Renewal Kit from  SwissClinic.
Not going to lie I was a bit scared in the beginning as I never did anything invasive to my face (yet) and micro needling sounds kinda scary and painful to me. So before even trying it on my face,  I did try it two days un my underarm skin. I just wanted to make sure I will not walk into the office the second day with a red and inflamed face.
But I was scared for nothing first is not painful at all and there where no inflammation in the process, although after massaging the face with the skin roller I got a bit red  but 10 minutes after my skin was back to normal

Now without further ado let’s get to the review

What is it?
A micro-needling skin treatment kit consisting of two products, a Skin roller available in 0.2mm and 0.5mm  sizes and a 30ml Rejuvenating Serum. The package also includes a sanitizing spray.

Who is it for?
Ageing skin

How do you use it?
Step1: Thoroughly clean the skin you plan to treat.
Step2: Spray the Skin Roller with Sanitizing Spray
Step3: Massage the desired area of your face with the Skin Roller. The strokes should be straight and firm and should have multiple directions vertically, horizontally and diagonally both back and forth for about 2-3 minutes per area.
Step4: apply the Rejuvenating Serum
Step5:  wait for a full hour before continue with your skincare routine
Clean your Skin Roller after use with  Sanitizing Spray ( antiseptic spray) and store it in its plastic container
The treatment should be performed in 5-7 days circles. Allow the skin to rest for the same period of time before resuming treatment.
If you feel that your skin is becoming sore or irritated, make sure to wait until it has recovered before you carry out further treatments.

How long did I test it?
10 days ( two circles of 5 days, in the PM routine)

Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate serum from Kiehl’s

Rejuvenating Serum is a soothing and moisturizing serum that restores the skin’s natural moisture balance and promotes skin rejuvenation. With the help of the active ingredient beta-glucan, the skin’s natural collagen formation is stimulated. Collagen is a protein found in the connective tissue, which helps to reduce the depth of wrinkles.Studies show that beta-glucan can stimulate the cells of the immune system and thereby increase immune system activity and efficacy in the fight against pathogens that attack the human body. This means that it stimulates your body to naturally renew the skin. The gel stimulates the body’s macrophages (white blood cells in the body’s immune system), thus promoting the growth of new skin.Studies also show that Rejuvenating Serum improves the healing of minor skin damage, promotes the rapid and effective healing of burns, smooths dry and cracked skin and gets rid of eczema and fungus.Specifically developed for use in conjunction the Swiss Clinic microneedle treatment, Skin Roller.

What did I like about:
Beautiful sleek packaging and a complete instruction file (you can find it here in English ). The serum is beautifully formulated and fragrance-free.
While I’m new in micro-needling ( is the first time I try to be honest), it doesn’t hurt at all, and I did not get irritated even though I been carrying my Pm routine. No breakouts.
After two five days circle (15days) I could notice my skin being a bit plumper and firmer and pores were a bit reduced in size especially on the apples of my cheeks.
I will continue to use it on my clown lines and my 11, see if there is going to be an improvement in that area.

What I didn’t like about
If you want to carry a whole skincare routine, you have to do some planning. For me personally, this serum wasn’t enough as hydration, and I needed to apply a face cream, and as mentioned above you have to wait for at least one hour before using any other product on top. Also, there is no mention on the instruction file about the use of acid tonners (and I’m a big fan of acid ).
Ps. I did stop the acid for the time I tested the Skin Renewal.
Similar products
there are plenty of derma-rollers and micro needling kits on the market, but I never tested any myself, so I will refrain from making any recommendations here.

£89- €96 for the kit

Would I repurchase?
I would, all in all, is a great product, and I love the way my skin feels and looks when I’m using it.
