Face Cleansning and Midnight Recovery Cleanser Review

Face Cleansning and Midnight Recovery Cleanser Review

Hello everyone, today i have another review fr you , Kiehl’s  Midnight Recovery Cleanser Review

I can never stress enough on the importance of cleansing your skin. If you want to have and maintain healthy skin, you must wash twice a day, no excuses. Even if your skin is dry, even if you don’t wear makeup, even if you blah-blah …No excuses
Now, like with all the skincare, you must find that cleanser that works for you, as a personal advice I would say stay away from everything that foams or/and have soap in it. You want to cleanse your skin but not strip it of its natural oils.

The first step you need to remove the makeup and the sunscreen. Unless you are using waterproof formulas, a regular cleanser will do, but if the formulas are waterproof, please use either a waterproof makeup remover, micellar water or an oil cleanser. I’m the lazy type, and I mostly use an oil formula that dissolves everything.
Don’t use hot water, even if it feels like soothing is not, hot water is to aggressive for your skin. On the other hand, cold water might not remove all the makeup and dirt, so use lukewarm to warm water
Follow by a second cleanse.

Use a terry cloth and hand-hot water to remove the second cleanser of your face.
Tap the face dry with a towel and follow with your routine
Do that every day, every single day, your skin will thank you.
Now speaking about Oil cleanser lets get back to our review, I have tested the Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleanser from Kiehl’s and  here is my experience with it:

Face Cleansning and Midnight Recovery Cleanser Review

Formulated without
Mineral Oil free

Not as natural as they claim to be but not bad either

Cruelty Free
Khiel’s products are not cruelty-free,  Khiel’s is part of  L’Oreal Group, they do some testing on animals

How does it smell

How do you use it
Take use just a pump or two of the oil in the palm of ur hand.
Gently massage the oil onto dry skin. Add lukewarm water and massage skin, the oil will emulsify the oil into a gentle cleansing milk. Lastly, rinse face thoroughly and gently pat it dry with a soft, clean towel—don’t rub, the skin doesn’t like rubbing.
Follow up with a second cleanser or  the rest of your nightly skin regimen

Can it be taken around the eyes
Even if they claim that the formula can  be taken around eyes I personally got a bit of dry/irritated eyes from it. So I will advise testing your tolerability first

Lightweight oil emulsifies with water to gently melt and dissolve all traces of dirt, oil, sunscreen, and face and eye makeup.

Can be used for daytime/ morning routine
If your skin is more on the dry side, you can use it as a morning cleanser also. If your skin is a combination to oily, I would not recommend unless you are up for a double cleansing.

What’s good about it
Is a gentle cleanser, natural ingredients smells pleasant, leaves the skin soft and soothed

What is not okay about it
I feel like the formula does not remove the makeup adequately at the end of the day, which ended up causing a bit of breakout in my chin at the beginning (very strange because my skin is on dry to very dry side, I barely ever break out).
Therefore I  ended up using it as a first cleanser; or as a morning cleanser. Also since I got my eyes a bit irritated by it, I also need to use a separate eye makeup remover.

You might not like it because
The formula is scented, although the smell of it is neither strong or unpleasant.
Price, for a cleanser, is pretty expensive.

$32.00 for 5.9 fl. oz / 32,00 € for 175ml -183 € for 1L
